RSI (Relative Strength Index)

A 0–100 momentum indicator measuring how fast and how much a stock's price has moved recently, used to flag potentially overbought or oversold conditions.

StockPulse uses the standard 14-day RSI. Readings at or below 30 are typically read as oversold (the stock has fallen fast and may be due a bounce), and readings at or above 70 as overbought (the stock has risen fast and may be due a pullback). Values in between are considered neutral.

RSI reflects only the speed and size of recent price moves — it says nothing about the company itself, and an oversold or overbought reading can persist for a long time during a strong trend.
