KSE-100, KSE-30 & KMI-30

PSX's three headline benchmark indices — KSE-100 (broad market), KSE-30 (most liquid large caps), and KMI-30 (Shariah-compliant top 30) — each free-float-weighted.

KSE-100 is the main market benchmark: the 100 largest and most liquid PSX-listed companies by free-float market cap, drawn from across all sectors, with at least one company from each eligible sector represented.

KSE-30 narrows further to the 30 most liquid large-cap companies, weighted purely by free-float market cap without the sector-representation rule — it's meant to track tradable large-cap liquidity more directly than KSE-100.

KMI-30 (Meezan Index) applies the same top-30, free-float-weighted approach but restricts the universe to stocks that pass Shariah-compliance screening (see Shariah-Compliant Stock) — it's the standard benchmark for Islamic/Shariah-focused investors in Pakistan.
